There is no better time than right now to tech up
.

Tech jobs are thriving in the United States. CompTIA released its annual analysis of the nation’s tech industry on April 3, 2017, and it concluded that tech workers, on average, earned $108,900 in 2016 — more than twice the national wage of $53,040.

Jobs in software, cyber security, and cloud computing are flourishing. Nevertheless, many of these high-paying jobs go unfilled.

56% of the national workforce are women and 55% of Twitter and Facebook users are women. 28% of proprietary software jobs and 25% of IT jobs are held by women.

11% of executives at Fortune 500 companies are female and only 5% of tech startups are owned by women.

Technology competence is now a requirement for all lawyers and an ethical issue. In 2012 the ABA House of Delegates voted to amend Model Rule of Professional Conduct 1.1 comment [8] (Maintaining Competence) as follows: “To maintain the requisite knowledge and skill, a lawyer should keep abreast of changes in the law and its practice, including the benefits and risks associated with relevant technology, engage in continuing study and education and comply with all continuing legal education requirements to which a lawyer is subject.” With this resolution technology competence has moved from optional to mandatory.
