NEW YORK (May 31, 2017) ─ Peter Berardi, PhD, former US Commander Navy SEAL, CEO of Sof-One, LLC, University of Florida professor and faculty member of Corporate Learning Hub will be the keynote speaker at the next Stadium Series event on July 18th at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, New York.
Berardi will present “Building a Culture of Success,” which will focus on developing the abilities of leaders to effectively establish a higher level of trust, align core values, and become a positive sphere of influence in their organizations. Leaders will learn how to communicate more effectively, increase loyalty, and lower internal friction. He will also discuss the challenges of leading an already existing team, taking the time upfront to learn how you want the team to work, getting individuals to buy in and making the team gel for success.
Berardi, a graduate of the University of Vermont, joined the U.S. Navy and received his commission in 1989 from Officer Candidate School in Newport Rhode Island, continuing on to graduate the arduous Navy Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL training (Class 168). His assignments included operations and exercises throughout Central and South America, the Mediterranean, Africa, the Middle East, and Afghanistan until retiring at the rank of Commander in 2012. Official assignments also included the Defense Language Institute (Spanish), the Naval Post-Graduate School of Monterey (M.S.) and the USMC Command and Staff College at Quantico (M.M.S.). Whether operating at the 2-man or Platoon level or leading several hundred team members, Berardi’s leadership positions have been dynamic, exciting and focused on both team and mission success.
He has a PhD from Capella University School of Public Service Leadership and wrote his dissertation on the relationship between emotional intelligence and authentic leadership in Naval Special Warfare (SEAL) Leadership. He is conversational in both Spanish and Italian and his personal decorations and awards include the Bronze Star, two Joint Defense Meritorious Service Medals, Five Navy Commendation Medals, four Navy Achievement Medals and numerous unit and deployment recognitions. He was also a first responder at the Pentagon as well as the World Trade Center on 9/11.
The Stadium Series event will bring together Northeast US regional buyers and global suppliers for a day of one-to-one private, pre-scheduled appointments, networking receptions and meals, and the forward-thinking keynote speaker. Suppliers will include hotels, resorts, cruise lines, destination management companies, and other unique meeting venues akin to the atypical stadium experience.
